Environmental and global sustainability issues are often in the news as issues with enormous long term consequences. This focus area is designed to prepare students for a role in these future growth areas. Some examples of course or directed study areas that may be offered in future years might include:
  • Ecology
  • Energy Production and Use (more physical science)
  • Policy, Economics and Environmental Impact
  • NH environmental studies
  • Marine environmental studies
For 2007-2008 ASD offered the following instruction and activities in this area:
  • 6 week course on Earth Science with Instructor Jen Roberts
  • Presentation by NH State Limnologist Jody Connor
