ASD ELECTRONIC COMMUNITY OVERVIEW
What is the ASD Electronic Community?
The ASD Electronic Community is the name of ASD's installation of Google Apps for Education,
a suite of online software applications that Google offers to educational institutions and
non-profit organizations. The package includes Gmail (Google's email program), Web-based
word processing and spreadsheet programs, sharable calendars, and more.
The ASD Electronic Community account allows students, staff, and parents to take advantage
of Gmail, with its more than 7 gigabytes of storage, in an ad-free environment, while
maintaining their @asdnh.org email name.
What happens to my personal gmail account?
Community members may have an ASD Electronic Community account even if they already have a personal
Gmail account. The ASD Electronic Community account is a separate account that does not affect
existing Gmail accounts.
Who is eligible?
The Electronic Community is available only to active ASD students, staff, and parents.
How does it work?
Community members will need to use their ASD user name and password to log into Google’s web-based applications
through one of the ASD portals (mail.asdnh.org,
calendar.asdnh.org, or docs.asdnh.org).
